The Website allows you to configure product specifications, upload memorial images, and request pricing information. Please note that submitting a quote request does not constitute a purchase or binding agreement. All orders are subject to separate confirmation and agreement.

3. Quote Requests

When you submit a quote request through our Website:

  • The quote is a request for pricing information only and does not create a contract
  • Prices provided in response to your request are estimates and may be subject to change based on final specifications, materials, and installation requirements
  • We reserve the right to decline any quote request at our discretion
  • Accuracy of information you provide (dimensions, installation location, contact details) is your responsibility

All content on this Website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, 3D models, and software, is the property of Farewell Glass or its licensors and is protected by South African intellectual property laws. When you upload images or provide content through our Website:

  • You represent that you have the right to use and share the images and content you upload
  • You grant us a limited licence to use uploaded images solely for the purpose of processing your quote request and fulfilling any resulting order
  • We will not use your uploaded images for marketing or any other purpose without your explicit consent
  • You are responsible for ensuring that uploaded content does not infringe on any third-party rights

8. Product Representations

The 3D visualisations and images displayed on our Website are for illustrative purposes only. While we strive for accuracy, actual products may vary in appearance due to the nature of glass manufacturing, printing processes, and photographic conditions. Final product specifications will be confirmed during the order process.

9. Image Quality and Colour

How the photo on your glass memorial turns out depends largely on the quality of the image you send us.

Many memorial photos are old, damaged, blurred or too small to print at a large size. Where we can, we use specialised software, including AI-assisted enhancement, restoration and editing, to repair damage, reduce blur, bring out facial detail and prepare the image for printing. This software cannot recreate detail that is not in the original image. The final result is limited by the quality and detail of the image you supply.

Colour

The colours on the finished glass may differ to some degree from the original photo. A phone, tablet, computer or TV screen shows an image with backlit RGB light. On glass, the image is printed with ceramic inks and pigments and you see it by the light that reflects off it. These are two different ways of showing colour.

The colour, brightness, contrast and overall look of the image on the glass may therefore not be identical to:

  • the original photo
  • the image on a phone or tablet
  • a computer monitor or TV screen
  • a printed photo

Screen settings, brightness, colour profiles and the light around you also change how an image looks on a device.

We make every reasonable effort to reproduce your image faithfully and to prepare it for ceramic printing on glass. However, we cannot guarantee an exact colour match to the original photo or to how it looks on a screen.

Approving the design

Where appropriate, we send you a digital proof of the design to approve before we make it. The proof shows the layout and design, and it may not show the exact colours or look of the printed glass.

By approving the artwork for production, you accept that the final result is limited by the original photo, by what image enhancement and restoration can do, by the ceramic printing process and by the physical properties of glass.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the Website after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
